Chandrakala Chikankari Blush Peach Lehanga

Chandrakala Chikankari Blush Peach Lehanga

$4,853 USD

This blush peach Chikankari hand-crafted silk georgette lehanga is an interplay of tone on tone shadow work, bakhia, murri, tepchi and phanda stitches in a floral garden panel aesthetic, entwined with resham thread highlights in dull gold tones. The blush peach georgette canvas is embelished with delicate crystal, bugle beads, glass tubes and sequins, highlighting the intricate Chikankari motifs, finished with a resham thread and Zardosi embroidered floral border. The Lehanga is layered with can-can and satin to lend volume, and paired with a georgette wrap around blouse, with a feather decolette to complete the look.

As a brand philosophy, we don't repeat any design in its entirety. Thus, for our couture pieces, the motifs, artwork and some details may differ slightly from the image you see, however the design and aesthetic of the ensemble remains intact.

Inspiration

'Chikankari’ is one of the most magnificent Indian embroidery traditions, believed to be introduced by Nur Jehan, Mughal emperor Jahangir's wife in India. The very word ‘Chikankari’ means delicate, shadow work embroidery. This lehanga has taken approx 1100-1200 hours of painstaking work by our Aadira ladies, who are passionate crusadors for this fast vanishing craft technique.
