Marrakesh

This collection is inspired by the winding alleyways and densely packed market places of ‘Marrakesh', brimming with colors and a delight to the senses. Marrakesh or the ‘Red city’, was founded in 1070, as the imperial capital of the Almoravid Empire. It is a densely packed, walled medieval city with maze like alleys and thriving ‘Souks’. Marrakesh hosts the largest market in Morocco, selling traditional carpets, jewellery, textiles, pottery and crafts, and remains a collectors delight, a riot of colours and weaves, home to spectacular mosques, palaces and gardens. These fluid shapes are intricately hand embroidered, entrusted with precious beadwork and crystal accents, in a vibrant palette of colors, kaleidoscope of prints and luxurious chiffons, georgettes, satins and crepes.
